Today we felt lots of animal pelts (animal skins).  We felt mink (it was really soft),  rabbit, blue wolf, beaver, red wolf, raccoon, ferret, marmot (looks like a beaver), possum, hare, Dutch rabbit, Manchurian lamb (funny name!) and sheep wool. Most people like the mink because it was fluffy and warm and cuddly.

X Man came to our school to teach us about recycling.  He is showing us some tiger worms in the bowl. They were really cool. They made scraps into soil. He was really funny and interesting.  We learnt to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.  We coloured in the things we could recycle.

Last Friday Bruce Potter came to our school.  He is an author and illustrator. He sang a song about Penny the Prolific Pooing Cow. It was really funny.

 

Then he drew a picture of a man  and we told him what to draw.

This is the picture that he drew. It is a boy who has girl hair.  It made us laugh when he was drawing it! He was a funny man!!

SNOW!!!

We touched the snow. It felt like ice. It hurt our fingers because it was so cold!!

  

We had a visit from some of the Counties Steelers rugby team today.  Here is a photo of Blake and Chase with them.

They played games with us and told us about their job as rugby players.

It was fun and very exciting!

The idea for this blog is to share our learning with all our friends and family.

Here is a picture of our school cat.  Her name is Whistle.  We adopted her when her family went overseas and we all love her.  She is a typical cat......very lovable, especially when there is food around!
